What's new

Product updates and release notes for ClinStreams. Follow along as the platform grows — built hand-in-hand with the clinicians who use it.

v1.4.0

Current release July 12, 2026

Structure your notes before you speak, not after — with a dictation guide that keeps every section covered.

New

  • Dictation guide — every note format now comes with a checklist of the sections it expects, with a prompt for what belongs in each, so nothing is left out while you dictate. Insert it into your note as a ready-made outline and work through it section by section.
  • Structure notes you have already saved — AI structuring is no longer a decision you have to make up front. Open any existing note, choose a format, and structure it. Re-structure into a different format whenever you like.
  • See what is structured at a glance — the notes list now shows the format each note was structured into, so structured and unstructured notes are easy to tell apart.

Improved

  • Format first, then dictate — the AI structuring options now sit above the note field rather than below it, so you pick the format before you start speaking and its guide is there while you do.

Fixed

  • Patient search by name and MRN — searching for a patient now reliably returns the right match, and duplicate medical record numbers are caught on admission.
  • Assorted stability and security improvements across the platform.

v1.3.0

July 7, 2026

Documentation that speaks the language of critical care — structured note formats built for the intensive care unit.

New

  • Intensive care note formats — AI note structuring now offers two dedicated critical-care layouts:
    • ICU — a systems-based intensive care progress note (Neurology, Respiratory, Cardiovascular, Renal, GI/Nutrition, Infectious Disease, Haematology, Endocrine, Lines/Devices, Plan), with a FASTHUG prophylaxis review on Pro.
    • NICU — a neonatal intensive care note built around gestational and corrected age, respiratory support, fluids, nutrition and growth, jaundice, sepsis screening, and neurology.

v1.2.0

June 24, 2026

Smarter ways to get information into ClinStreams — so documentation keeps up with the pace of care — plus a round of quality fixes.

New

  • Scan images into ClinStreams — snap or upload a photo and it's turned into structured, editable text, pre-filled for you to review before saving. Works across the workflow:
    • Lab & imaging reports → patient records
    • Referral letters & admission sheets → new patient admission
    • Patient monitors & observation charts → vitals
    • Prescriptions & medication labels → medications
  • Review flags on voice & image entry — when voice or a scan fills in patient, vitals, or medication details, anything that may have been misheard or read unclearly is flagged so you can double-check it before saving.

Improved

  • Faster, more accurate voice transcription — dictation is clearer and quicker across the app.
  • No more premature timeouts — AI features such as summaries, voice capture, and report scanning now have room to finish, so results come back instead of showing a timeout error.

Fixed

  • Local time everywhere — dates and times on patient notes, timelines, and tasks now show in your own local time.
  • Correct age in summaries — patient summaries now state the right age unit (for example, months for infants rather than years).
  • Tidier note filters — category chips on the notes screen now wrap neatly instead of overflowing the edge.

v1.1.0

The ClinStreams platform as it stands today — structured handover, AI-assisted documentation, and the controls teams need to roll it out.

Highlights

  • Structured SBAR handover — role-based task handoff, per-patient handover history, and auto-expiry so shift-to-shift continuity never relies on memory.
  • AI Voice Intake — speak a patient's details to auto-fill the admission form, plus voice-to-vitals and voice-to-medications at the bedside.
  • AI clinical tools — note structuring (SOAP, SBAR and more), patient summaries, AI discharge summaries with PDF export, and one-tap SBAR handover reports.
  • Inpatient & outpatient support — a tailored workflow and dashboard filter for each encounter type.
  • Complete discharge workflow — pre-discharge checklist with automatic file locking on discharge.
  • Smart patient dashboard — stale, unassigned, and outpatient filters, criticality badges, and real-time updates across devices.
  • Admin hub — users, roles, departments, wards, and shared templates managed from one place.
  • Integrations — REST API, webhooks, HL7 FHIR R4, and outbound EHR connections.
  • Flexible billing — simple per-active-user pricing that adjusts automatically.
  • Security — per-institution data isolation, secure authentication, and full audit logs, built to HIPAA and GDPR standards.
